Legal
Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 15 May 2026
1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between
the provider named in the Imprint (“we”) and all users
of the website project-civet.dev and of any participation in the
civet alpha and beta programmes. Civet is software for veterinary
clinics in the German-speaking region.
2. Description of service
Civet is not a complete practice-management system. Civet runs alongside your existing practice-management system and owns patient records and AI-generated clinical documentation. Scheduling, billing, inventory management and other functionality stay in your existing system (e.g. ezyVet, Provet Cloud, Animana, Vetnio). In v1 we accept occasional double-entry as a trade-off so that the documentation workflow works reliably from day one.
3. Formation of contract and waitlist signup
Signing up to the waitlist via the website does not constitute a contract. The signup is non-binding and does not give rise to any entitlement to admission to the alpha or beta programme. We reserve the right to extend or decline invitations at our discretion, in particular in order to balance load and to assess the fit of the clinic for the current product phase.
4. User obligations
You undertake to provide accurate information when registering and to update it promptly upon any change. You further undertake not to misuse the functionality offered, in particular not to perform automated data retrieval or scraping that goes beyond intended use.
5. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, and for damage caused by intent or gross negligence. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation whose performance is necessary for the proper execution of the contract and on whose observance you may regularly rely (so-called “cardinal duty”); in this case our liability is limited to the contract-typical, foreseeable damage. Any liability beyond this is excluded.
6. Data protection
Information regarding the processing of your personal data is available in our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is not part of these Terms.
7. Final provisions
The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Insofar as legally permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Berlin (or the registered office named in the Imprint once the company has been registered). Should any individual provision of these Terms be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
